I have a 90 gal. aquarium and am thinking about buying a couple oscars for it.Would oscars eventually eat fidler crabs?I currently have 4 crabs in a 29 gal. and will eventually move them to the 90.

If they will eat the crabs then I won't bother with moving them.

Any advice would be appreciated.

how many oscars is a couple? i have one in a 125, and i would get another, but i think that they would even be cramped in that. and i have heard about them eating crayfish.... so its possible...

I don't think crabs and oscars make a good mix.During the day,the oscars would try to pick them apart .And at night the crabs could nip the oscars while they are sleeping.

O.K.,I will leave the crabs in the 29 gal.

Thank you for the replies.

would a 4 inch red lobster do ok with an oscar. He does fine now with a large fantail, catfish, and pleco. He once tried to eat a snail.

Those crabs will be cichlid food in no time.
