Wild Scalare Angels with Domestic bred?

no problem with mine..they've had several spawns..but they didn't make it..they are young so I give them some time..they spawn about 1X month or so..
they get along fine.
the wilds seem to be a bit more aggressive and a bit larger.
especially the males.

I picked mine up from a local guy who imported them from peru..he has about 200 of them..
the males are pretty stout..the females not so..they tend to go thru these weird cycles ..tattered fins, lethargic etc..the males are not affected..I think the fish are still acclimating to a fixed environment.(I've had 4 since Juy last year)
I do 2-3 water changes per week in thier tanks and run several filters in them..I still have one new pair in quarantine.
there is a place in the international district of seattle..might be the same shop.
watch the fish,..larely I've seen drumerelli's/leopoldis being passed off as peruvian scalare..
the drums are really cool..smaller but tough lil guys.

King's Discus is in the International district at 805 S. King St. It's a pretty quirky little place--but, the owner is friendly and he has some cool fish on display. I've been down there when he's just been loaded with Discus and Angels. Right now he doesn't have as much.
I went down there again today and looked at the Peruvian Angels. Based on the input that they may be a little more aggressive, and may get a little bigger than the average Angel... I'm going to wait to try fish like that until I put up another, larger tank.
