decided to go saltwater for a change, need some info before i start. the tank i will be using is a 40 gallon breeder and we want it to be a reef tank with some fish. i currently have no equipment, thats the first thing i will need advice on. i have heard that the emporer biowheel filter can be used for saltwater and that its pretty good, maybe some of the lighting with the blue leds and multiple t5 bulbs, or whatever suggestions you have for what i need. the second is the fish and coral i can put in the tank. the fish i know we would like to have are damselfish and clownfish, but was wondering what other kind of fish we could put in with those, or possibly a whole new idea for stocking fish, inverts, corals and such. any and all help and ideas are greatly appreciated. looking forward to getting it up and running.

thats a loaded question and the fish and inverts are best figured out in ur own research because there are countless answers. i wouldn't go with damselfish they tend to loose their color and become monsters. as for the filter they arent the best choice. a nice skimmer, live rock, and good flow(powerheads or the emptied out HOB filter with live rock and/or carbon in it). just do some major reading and try to make a few specific questions lol. im sure more will pipe in and add:)
welcome to the saltwater hobby!
