I got a 29 gal tank, 1 65watt 50/50 cf, 2x24 inch 20 watt flourecent, DIY co2(2 cups suger,1/2 tsp yeast, in 2 liter bottle), adding excel on top of that 3 ml every day, greg watson ferts, moderatly to heavy planted, 2 dwarf neon rainbows, 1 oto, 1 cae, 2 silertipped tetra's, 3 long finned danio's, 1 glo danio, 10 ghost shrimp, and 1 wood shrimp. Stats last week PH 7.4, Amonia 0.1 Nitrite 0, Nitrate 6-7, KH 180, GH 160. Today stats are PH 6.8-7.0, Amonia 0.50, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 3-5, KH 180, GH 140. Had been adding 1 ml of potassium nitrate and uped it to 2 ml, was adding 3 ml of potassium phosphate uped it to 5 ml, added 1/2 tsp barr's GH booster. Am I correct in doing this? For the co2 question, hooked it up last night and counted today 64 buubles in 1 min so acording to chuck's cal I should have 30-48 ppm of co2? Should I add an air stone at night? How long? Or 2 differnt times at night, full out or minamal? Fish seem to be ok right now. sorry so many ?'s but getting tired of killing fish cause of DIY CO2. Any other advise is welcome or opinions. Have read a lot of sites and this stuff just doen't seem to get covered. And heres a pic of the tank.
