So my tank has been cycled and I just added my little friend, whom Ive wanted for some time ever since I gave away my GSP 6 years ago(I didn't have the tank size for when he grew). He ate a tiny piece of shrimp pellet the second day I had him no problem. Today is day 3 and I haven't fed him yet because I want to know how often you guys feed your puffers. I've heard much conflicting evidence from people-from saying do it daily, to every other day, to even twice a week. Im thinking a tiny bit each day or every other day is the way to go...but I'd like a final opinion. Also this week I plan on buying the frozen brine/blood worms that my old GSP loved and adding it to his feeding arsenal. Snails will be next to keep his teeth sharpened.

And one other area of concern for me, since the SG is around 1.010, when it comes to chemicals, bio spira, and test kits...do I go for the marine or freshwater type??? I used the 5 in 1 quick dip strip and ammonia strip to monitor the cycling since they seem to be general. Im leaning more towards marine since some salt is present, and I have no real need to choose any chemical that is specific yet, but again, I'd like more informed opinions. Thanks guys.

F8s are best kept at 1.005. I recomend the FW Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Master Test kit. Feed every day, to a slightly rounded belly, skipping 1 fasting day/week.

Excellent, I just came back from buying the master test kit, was on sale for 20.00 also!!! I'll slowly brign the SG down a point each water change, I just used hydrometer again and got 1.009. I'll get pictures up of him soon. Thanks for the info Pufferpunk.
