I'm not sure what this freshwater weed is called, but I've had it about a week and its started to turn pink on the tips of all the stems.

When I got it it was just plain green. I haven't added any plant foods to my tank and at the present time, the tank is still cycling from its initial set up 7 days ago.

Is it dying, or is this a normal color for these things when they grow? (Note: in the background there is other stems that have the similar pink color on the tip.

Thanks

brown when dieing and yellow when lacking ferts. reds/pinks come out with a good amount of light.

so pinks/reds are a GOOD thing? Will they turn that color all over, or just on the tips?

in most plants i have the reds are good. always would be the tops of the plant closest to the lights.

That plant is called cabomba and yes the pink is a good thing. Definetly not dying. On the other hand it appears to be quite happy.
