Has anyone got the Aquaworld compact RO unit? I'm having trouble getting it set up, we have had to bodge pipework slightly but not sure if it is working. The water is dripping out of red pipe quite fast but nothing coming out of blue pipe - I knew it would be slower but seems to be non existant! Instructions are not that clear. I cannot fit it under kitchen sink but we have a brick built shed with plumbing so it is out there and is fitted using outside tap connection on to pipe where previous house owners had dishwasher.
:help:

Hiya Vicky, looked over the instructions for this unit and it seems very straight forward and does not need a charging or priming process..I am emailed their customer services on your behalf and will post the response on here if i get one..

As long as its connected right, which i am sure it, these usually just work..I know they do have a period of about an hour when the output is not correct, but after that, its usually fine...

Will let you know what i get back...

It has started producing some water out of the blue pipe now but really slow! I will leave for 1 hour and then discard the first lot of water - I assume it will be alright to use water after that?

yes, it will..you are going to be looking at about twice or three times the flow out of the red than the blue, if your getting that, then i would say its starting to work....

It's been running since about 11 O'clock and so far I've had nearly 20l waste water and a tiny puddle of good water!

look at your waste and see if it balances out...your normally looking at about 2, maybe 3, gallons of waste water to 1 gallon of RO water...would that be about correct for what you have had so far?

Niko

Not really, it looks to me like I'm getting more waste!

sorry I meant to say more waste than what you're suggesting! I have just noticed that our bodged pipework is leaking into waste bucket too so that could explain it...lol!
