Turbo Twist UV - loose effectiveness?

Hello,

Buildup of film on glass chamber of UV sterilizers reduces effectiveness, requiring occasional cleaning of the interior chamber (or so I understand). Given that Turbo Twist has a ridged spiral chamber directing water flow, to what extent can you clean the interior chamber when needed, compared to an easier to clean "straight through" tube design?

i.e., would turbo twist be less effective than non-twist type models because its harder to clean?

Thanks,

The buildup film will happen on both models, so both models effectiveness would be reduce. Because the turbo twist is more effective in the beginning, it will still more effective than the nontwisty models.

You can clean the twist models as needed with a good old fashion pipe brush, or flush it with a diluted bleach solution.
