dojo loaches in pond in NY?

i have recently heard that they can do well in ponds. i knew they were cool water loaches but i didnt know they can survive in cold temperatures of that extreme. so is it true i can over-winter them in a pond in new york?

are the goldens any less hardy? i prefer them since i would be able to see them

i doubt you could do it. with out a heater

i would put a large wattage heater in the filter to keep it above 50 degrees. so they wouldnt go into shock
