I have one tomato clown and my son has two he bought today and the fish shop said that you can have two of them in the same tank , but his seems to be fighting is there any way to get them to stop fighting so they can stay in one tank or is this a no no ,and his tank is 75 gal,if you know of a way please let me know ,he wants me to get one of them and put it in one of my tanks ,but if you can help me maybe I can put both of them in the same tank ,or maybe he can kept it
:girl:

typically they need to be added together to avoid aggression sometimes removing both clowns putting them in a bag and then floating them together and re-releasing them will work or re arranging the tank as well. tomatoes are grumpy...mine really is...has to bit every new fish just once lol. good luck sometimes they will get along after some fighting. if u add them seperatly u should always add either a way larger or smaller clown to the one u have.

he did add both of them at the same time but they are both about the same size,do you think by morning after the lights are out they will get along

he says that one has really chewed on the others fins and chasing it all over the place hope it makes it until tomorrow (he said they started to fight when he was acculamateing them in the same bucket today )

thanks for the help on clowns, but have one more question about your canister filter you say by cleaning it right you have no problems what do you do special please explain ( I know how to clean my magnum 350) but not sure if there is anything I need to do differently since I'm using it on sw or is there something you put in your's that I need to add to mine
thanks

well its different for all tanks and i never use magnums(dont like em much) but typically u remove all the sponges, bioballs, or cubes and such and toss them. u can, and should, fill that void with live rock rubble. then use the media sections for media like carbon, chemipure, renew, or phosphate removers. every month i disconnect it clean the tubes and intake and output. then i replace the carbon, renew, and phospure. i then wash the chemipure(last 6months usually) and put everything back in close it up and let it fill and its ready to go by the time i have the water change done.

thanks for that info but what is live rock rubble (don't know what that is )will do all that and hope it works for me like it works for you thank again

LR rubble is just golf sized pieces of LR
