I have an ipod, just a nano and love it, but I wanted to know how to get the stuff off my itunes as I am done with it. I down loaded podcasts and I am done listening to them and would like to remove them. I do know you uncheck them and they come off the ipod, but I want them off my itunes altogether.
I can not find where it says delete!
can one of you help me ? thanks

Highlight it and press delete on your keyboard.

Mac or PC, make sure you have the newest version of itunes loaded.
When you plug the ipod in and Itunes comes up, click on the ipod icon on the left side.
At the main screen down at the bottom there should be a check box that says "manually manage music" or something to that effect, make sure it is checked.
Now just click on the "music" folder under the ipod icon (you may have to click a +/- to reveal the music folder)
you should be able to just select whatever songs you want and just use the "delete" button on your keyboard to get rid of them. It will ask you if you are sure you want to delete them, go ahead and do so.
If you want to remove them from the computer all together, do this same steps only instead of in the "music" folder on the ipod go to your "library" folder on the computer.
Hope this helps.

if you had selceted for files to be copied "to i tunes music folder when adding to libary" then they should be here..you can allways run a serach for them to make shure they are no where else. Go to my computer click documents and settings then click on your folder(the name you use to log into windows with) then my documents then click my music then itunes.

If you delete it off your playlist, it shouldn't delete it permanently. Just like if you delete something from your iTunes library...it doesn't delete it off the hard drive.
