I'm thinking about getting some MTS in my 2.5 gallon betta tank that has no filter. Will this work for the snails? Thanks

Can't think of any reason why it wouldn't. I suppose though that if you've no filter you'll be cleaning it out regular - if not, apart from the ammonia issues, you could have a build up of detrius in the substrate which could cause your snail population to increase repidly.

I havent found much of any place that MTS's cant live. Frequent your w/c's so that you dont like a huge explosion of snails and increase ammonia as was fore mentioned

I love MTS's. They keep the substrate in my planted tank sparkling clean. I would think they would work in filterless tank. I've put some in my little 3 +/- gallon. So far so good.

i think mts could live, and reproduce in a toilet bown if you put them in there and theyd keep it clean
