Hi everyone i have some questions for all of you:
I have an almost fully grown angelfish and about 3 month old german blue ram. two days ago i bought a beautiful betta and put him in there. he seems fine but today i saw the angel attack the betta while he wasn't looking and i don't know why?
is it serious cause i've only seen it once but i figured i would ask the best.
also on another note my male german blue ram is always hiding and i don't know why. they both seem a little shy but the female will come out all the time, at least i think it is a female. one has black stripes down him and the other has no stripes except one on the eye:huh: but anyways if anyone couls=d let me know i would be most appreciative:)

generally, you shouldnt put long finned fish in a tank with bettas.

bettas+angel= bad

not generally a recommended combination..
a large angel prob set up it's territory..the betta was most likely considered a threat.

The angel will likely continue nibbling on the betta's fins. Best bet? Find a new home for the betta. A tank of at least 2.5 G's is preferable.
