Hi
I have a glass carp in my pond that floats just above the water and his back is gettig dry ,he can swim down but when he stops swimming he floats up.
Also my fish sometimes have these horrible leech like things on them for a couple of days,I have asked at garden centre places and one said use potassium permanganate but I don't know how much and someone said it could hurt the fish.
Pond is 7'x7' and 2'6" deep and about 15 years old

No,never had any problems before could it be the water then.My fish are usually so healthy and some I have had for as long as the pond:help:

swim bladder disorders can be associated with poor water quality. but whenever fish look unwell you should allways check the water just to rule that out first.

ideally your water parameters should be:
0 ppm ammonia
0 ppm nitrite
5-10 ppm nitrate

Welcome to AC!

I'll move this over to the pond forum so it will get more exposure.

Definitely need to check the water parameters.

if there is a problem with the water then improving the quality will help him to get better. then once the water is improved if he still has a swimbladder problem a medicine can be added. but in most cases once the water is good the swimbladder disorder goes away without the need for medication.
