I just one from the lfs here. These plants are so cool looking. Are there any special parameters that need to be followed? I have CO2, 2 wpg of light, water temp 76, PH of 7, & weekly 20-30% water changes.

Also, how do you multiply them? I would like more than one without buying more.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

This is mine.

I just bought myself some balls this weekend. Amazing what you can get when you have enough cash... ;)

I know what you mean. I had to trick my wife out of some money today.:D I went and bought the last two the lfs had tonight.

I was trying to think of that name yesterday. I told my wife that they looked like the furry things from the old Star Trek, but couldn't remember the name. She calls them little brains.

Hopefully they multiply as such.

We are ALL SUCH DORKS for having known this much about "The Trouble with Tribbles".

Actually they can.
Careful what you ask for:-)
I had about 50+ tufts growing on gravel, filter tubes etc after playing with NH4 about 1-3 weeks later.
They will not do this unless you add NH4 to the mix.

That old Trek reference really shows signs of hardcore nerdom. But nerds do well later in life. Well ....most do.

Tom Barr

i don't think it tells of nerdom, But certainly AGE!

I'm 21, so I don't think that I was exposed to Star Trek during its first run...I think that points to nerd-dom for at least one of us, if not the whole of this thread's participants!

Well, I'm 31 and remember the reruns of the original. But to remember the details point to nerd-dom. I do recall alot of the details about the show. So I guess I'm a closet nerd.:D

Don't worry about it, age is just a number. Actually the sad thing is I'm a t-ball coach and the kids that I coach haven't even heard of the Bad News Bears. Now I feel old.

"I had about 50+ tufts growing on gravel, filter tubes etc after playing with NH4 about 1-3 weeks later." What do they look like exactly? I have what looks like a few mini balls starting around the original ball that I bought.

Is propagation really as easy as splitting balls?

Marc, sounds like people are really after yours...and, at that price, I can see why. ;)

YEs, just split it, if you want to make it more circular place it in a tank by itself with a small powerhead. To circulate the water.

Yes, i think i have the lowest price on them from what i have seen. One place sells them for 10$

Ouch

Yes, but you can take that ball and make two!
And me? I'm still old.
