Baby swords on runner--how to procede?

I have 3 "baby" swords on a runner/stem from the "mama" plant. Do I simply cut the runner near the last plant and then section the plants from the runner and then plant them in the substrate?

You are correct in how to remove them. Personally I would allow them to get a good root system started before removing them and planting..

Yes, these seem to have substantial roots going. That's what prompted me to ask the question. Thanks for confirming my suspicion!

as with my corkscrew vals, i usually just leave them until they get so big then cut them and place them else where
