okay so on the last site i posted this no one has responded. okay lots of people have shrimp so i figured id try it and i love them. i have 3 ghost shrimp. can you over populate your tank with to many shrimp? also i was thinking of getting cherry shrimp. would they all get along? also how often do they breed? would i have lots of babies? thanks everyone

what size of tank? what else is in it?

from what I've read, 20 Ghost Shrimp = 1 fish in terms of bio load...

i have a 20 gallon with mostly swordtails and 4 danios

go on! stick a load of shrimp in there.....but watch the ghosts are not too small when you buy them....I'd chuck about 29 Ghosts in there myself!

Ghost shrimp will kill and eat young cherry shrimp, and the adults won't compete well for food. As for breeding, cherry shrimp are much easier than ghost shrimp. They don't eat their offspring, and a few females will produce dozens of young given proper conditions and a couple months.
