Its a 72 Gal bow front tank heavily planted.

I already have 4 albino cories, 1 dwarf puffer (might be a female, thinking of getting a male also), 5 baby mollies, a batch of guppies (adult and babies).

Planning to get 10 neon tetras, 10 cardinal tetras, 6 otoes, a lot ghost shrimp, other small fishes, a pair of Rams and maybe a few more cories.

I have 330 CF from Ahsupply.com, I am wonder if I can use 220 watts of CF instead of all 330 watts for high lighted plants.

I heard that 220 CF lights produces double of NO lights. So does that means 220 CF bulbs produces 440 Watts of NO lights??

if I use 110 watts I will have 1.5277 which is too little.
if I use 220 watts I will have 3.0555 w/gal.
if I use 330 watts I will have 4.7142 w/gal.
if 220 = 440 watts of lights that means it is 6.111111 w/gal.
and if 330 = 660 watts of lights that means it is 9.4285 w/gal.
I think I will be blind by that much light.

I can not really a true answer about the above question.
I have pressurized CO2 so I will be suppling CO2. I also have 90 lbs of Flourite, 50 lbs of Schez (dont know how to spell it) clay. Iron tabs, liquid fertilizer, and everything.

Thank you

All I can give you is my experience - using the AH Supply reflector and 110W CFs over my 72 gallon. Most people would say thats only 1.6 wpg or low light - but I have grown moderate light plants with no problems at all - and even tried a few high light ones - which haven't died but haven't really grown much either - just kind of maintaining the status quo.

So yes, if you use the AH Supply reflectors - I think 220W CF would be plenty for you for any type of plant

Thanks superstein61.
I was going to put all 330watts but only lite up 220. If the plants are not doing well, I can turn on the 3rd set.

I just added all the plants, now I am almost done with the lights.
