Photo of the Month Contest will only admit aquatic-related animal/plant tank photos. Subject(s) can be any or any combination of the following:

- Fishes
- Invertebrates
- Reptiles
- Amphibians
- Mammals
- Plants

I think you left something out of that, what about pesky kids :rolleyes: im having to help care for my smaller grandchildren mostly ever single day now. :eek:

Yes, if a person is under the age of 18, they do need to a parent or guardian to enter you in to the competition..

I'm curious as to where there is a law that states a person must be 18 in order to join a photo contest. It's really a shame because there are several members(at this site especially) who are under the age of 18 and have great tanks.

It is easy for your parents to give their OK for the law protects those who are under the legal age to where if anybody was to want to use your photos and that your under the legal age, that all one needs is your guardian permission to do so. Its to protect AC from any lawsuits from angry parents, but of course it
most likely not be the case, but still one these days need to protect themselves from every possible angle. ;)

I am under 18, but my parents have agreed to me showing pictures of my fish and tank. In fact they applaud my doing so. However, they have no interest in fish, so making a membership would be pointless as it would be entirely unused. As I have permission, may I enter? Many people here will not enter this simply because they are under 18. It is, in my opinion, quite a useless rule.

I believe that AC would need a email of approval from your parents only and its done, your in and can be choosen as long as your tank(s) meet up with the specifications in which are accordantly within the rules.

Did I say it correct? I'm in shock :)

From what I understood, It can be anything aquatic...which would mean an entire tank or even one lil shrimp.

Anything in the tank that your submitting... but a full tank shot would get you farther IMO.

have to agree with Dorkfish there, if its just a specific thing in the tank, then the photo of the month comp would be more appropiate for the pic in my opinion...

No, it is a legality issue we try to maintain for protection of the site.

i_limantra - it really does not matter if you think your tank is a bad one or not...Enter the competition, its all about taking part and getting involved, get it submitted, let people see what you have....I for one, would like to see you enter..

Yes, if you can write the subject line something like " MAY POTM ( JOE BLOGGS )", that would be fine..

Just send another pic and make it known that you want that one instead of the other one... I'll take care of it.
