I am looking into getting a protein skimmer and found one. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this one and if it is good. It is a Red sea prism hang on skimmer, its going for about $92.95. Here is a sit about it:

Please help me make a good decision here. Thanks in advance.

junk, absolute junk, stay far far away from prizms. How big is your tank, we may be able to chose the skimmer for you rather than you just tell us what you think is good

the price of that is a rip-off, ive seen em go for $160, one of the best HOT skimmers for that price, more expensive ones work better while still being HOT

those breakdown more often but are cheaper and when not broken down, they do there job quite well

i just noticed that my bad. When i get this would it be ok to take my filter off. having both on such a small tank takes up a lot of viewing space.

Sorry I don't remember but how large is your tank?
I'd recommend the CPR Bak-pak skimmers.
