Where can I find good cheap 100GPD RO/DI units. I need one that I can use for my breeding tanks. Any help would be nice. If anyone is selling one let me know. Thanks

It cost me $140 CAD shipped, for a 100GPD, 6 stage RO/DI complete system.
it comes with the ASO valve, a flush/flow restrictor valve, and other nifty things.
alot more than what you get when you buy a $400 system from an LFS and then still have to go buy a flow restrictor, flush valve and the ASO.
They make different models too.

In hindsight, i should have sprung the extra dough, and purchased the "Maximus" system, which has both the DI and the storage tank, plus taps etc.
I bought the aquarium model, which has the DI but no tank, or taps.
You can also buy the home model, which has the tank but no DI (drinking water that has passed through the DI filter as well, will dehydrate you ironically.)
I did however find a suitable tank (i think) for about $60 at princess auto.

I bought the Maximus system back in Nov. 06. It works great and the TDS meter and Pressure gauge are necessary components. The 21 EXTRA filters are very convenient too. I would advise against buying their cheap pressure pump though. If I had it to do over again I would have bought the Maximus system and a separate Aquatec 8800 pressure pump.

dont use a permeate pump, they are useless i have been told.... the aquatec is the way to go.
As for the maximus system, would you be able to get a few pics of that storage tank? id like to see how they vary in construction from the one i bought seperatly.
I picked up a dual inline TDS meter from fixurwater(ebay) for about $28 CAD
as for the pressure gauges, I bought 4 of them seperatly to plumb into the lines permenantly, instead of checking when needed.
In all reality, the best place to hook up a TDS meter, is directly before, and directly after the membrane, and pressure gauges should be place before the actual RO unit itself, and possibly after the membrane, if you will be permenantly plumbing them in like i will.

Its tucked back in a space between the stove and kitchen cabinets. There's really noting to see though: It has the input connection for the water and another for the air pressure. Other than that--its sealed up tight. It must be assembled before the final weld or something, because there's no trap door like on Yours....But here's some clickable thumbs for ya:
The last pic is of my current ROTripleDI setup. The horizontal DI setups are really a waste. DI Resin shrinks as it is exhausted--causing the water to eventually flow above and past it without having any benefit. So, I added the Dual DI cartridges from H20Science on ebay (best deal on it that I could find after extensive searching.)
Right now I am debating on whether to buy another Aqua safe unit, just buy another membrane and run it in series or run it parallel. In series, I can just run both with the cheapo pump that I got from Aqua safe. Another unit or in parallel I would need to buy another pump (aquatec 8800 this time).
Toward the top center of the pic you can see the pump shut-off switch. I have the auto-water supply shut-off also, but I cannot use it right now because its VAC and the pump is VDC. For some reason hooking up the VAC switch causes the VDC transformer to smoke and burn up--I've already replaced one. So, whenever I get to an 8800(VAC)--I'll start using the auto water shut off also.

Basically I wanted to know if the bladder was setup the same, but it obviously isnt.... however they couldnt have welded that last, or they would have melted any bladder inside.
i didnt know they made aquatec pumps in VAC models (the 8800 anyway)
if that is the case, then im pretty sure you can just use a resistor to step down the voltage supplying the pump.

From what I saw: all of their RO stuff is VAC.....
The pump is rated for 24VDC which is what the transformer is/was. Their tech support had no idea why the VAC shut-off would cause the VDC transformer to smoke....
Also, you can see the weld seam around the center of the tank. Other than welding it last--I don't have any idea how they would assemble it....
