Discus colouring

Hello,can any1 actually tell me when a 5cm discus fry will start to colour up???

I think it could be a while depending on what kind of discus you have. Also, their colors tend to fade when scared or stressed. Did you just get him?

What size of tank and kind tankmates?

discus may got thru 'phases' of colors as they mature..at 5 cm these are young and may retain more barring and not get the bright colors.

it really is going to depend on outside condtions also.

That is totally dependant upon the color type of discus. Some may show color at that size, while others wont show hardly any color (other than brown) until they are 10-12cm+. Post up a pic if you can.
