I am planning on selling off some of my fish to thin out the population in my 55 gallon. The dominate males are showing color and the fish are getting to big for my tank to have them all. My question is how much should I sell my fish for? All are plump, in great health, showing great color, and are 2-3". Here is a list of the fish I am going to be getting rid of. I have never sold my fish before, so I was just trying to get a ball park figure. I live in the midwest in Nebraska
3-blue ahli's 1 male is 3", 2 females are 2.5"
3-red zebra's 2-3"
3-yellow labs 2.5"
4-German red peacocks 1 male, 3 females all are 3"
2-Obliquidens 1"-1.5"
Any information you guys could give me would be great. I hope maybe someone on here has sold these fish before. Thanks

Post pics in the for sale forum on Monster Fish Keeepers and you will get plenty of responses. It is a sister board to AC. LOL

I know fish can be expensive but unless you have something really exotic or expensive you will prob be better off giving them away. Thats what I do. I actually have a few cichlids I want to get rid too.

Haven't a clue, but the recommendation to post pics here and at MFK, even if for offers is a great one!

If you really wanna make some money for them being anywhere from 3-5 dollars if they r really nice fish. Or you could go half that price but if they r really nice people will probably eat them up. And you Could also sell them in pairs ....... for example you could do $5 for a pair..Just an Idea if you wanna make some cash . There Are always People out there more then willing to buy fish.

You can put them on Aquabid.com and let them set thier own price. People will bid on them like Ebay.
But then , of course, you have to have a way to ship them safely .

You would probably get the most by trading them in for store credit.
