Hello everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself to the community of aquarium enthusiasts. I'm fairly new to aquariums and just have a 55 gallon freshwater setup with some pretty bad Chinese parts, the aquarium came with my flat so I'm just trying to maintain a healthy system. Getting advice from experts like people here seems like the best place to start!

Actually I'm a Department of Defense contractor that works for a CENTCOM military base here. Thankfully since I've been here so long I'm not required to live on base. So I live in downtown Bishkek the capitol, I've been living here for over 2 years so its safe to say for the time being I call it home.
