View Full Version : Comp gamers. mouse warning.
not sure if its just my mouse, but the logitech mx518 is not durable and wont last long. its not a bad gaming mouse, it has alot of functions , very precise and smooth movements, etc. but only after 6 months the mouse began to act up. it freezes at random times at least twice a day. i have to unplug the usb and plug it back in for it to work again. just beginning to get very annoying.

contact logitech about it and see if they can so anything..
It might be defective. I think Logitech has a 1 year manufacturers warranty. I'd give them a call, wouldn't hurt to try. You might have to pay shipping, or send the broken one to them...
they would probably want the receipt and proof of purchase and etc. not worth the hassle. and i dont have them anymore
Depends on the company....some just ask for a serial number and where you purchased it. Just depends on how they back their products...
Is it wireless? That sounds like how mine acts when the batteries die...

Did you try resetting it in Device Manager? My laptop's scroll wheel stops working sometimes and all I do is go into Device Manager and reset it.
jay, its not wireless. ive had experience with wireless too. and it stops just as the wireless does when it runs out of batteries.
and sammie, i cant open up the device manager application with my arrow stopped. =]. ill just replace it when i get too annoyed of it. thanks for all your suggestions everyone

You know back in the old days they had to use keyboard commands to get around. Lucky for you I just figured out how to use them by playing around and I can tell you if you want to know. What OS are you running? XP? It was actually quite a challenge to figure them out, but I learned something new today. : )
Here's XP Pro instructions:
Press Windows key + Pause/Break to open System Properties. Press Right until you get to Hardware. Hit Tab to select the Device Manager button, then enter to open it.
