Hey,

Any thoughts on whether a $170 RO filter designed to be mounted under a sink for drinking water would be appropriate for filling a s/w tank?

I would prob use it for drinking water anyhow. . .

I can't remember the brand... it was a three chamber system, I've seen similar looking things at the LFS.

its pretty much the same product but with different lables... check how many gallons a day (GPD) the unit puts out and see if that works for you...but i have to say.. a 3 stage will only give you about 40 -50 GPD if that

I have not bought one yet but it got rave reviews from a good online friend that I would trust to take care of my tanks. As soon as the doc releases me to go back to work it is on the top of my list and WILL be the one I get, which is why I have the store bookmarked. I also like the color changeing resin.

I would not recomend this unit if I did not trust my friend, I'm more picky about my tanks than my kids...LOL.
