One of my 2 Ghost shrimp is carrying eggs, much to my suprise because I only bought 2 a couple of months ago. Will they grow up OK in a regular tank provided no one in the tank eats them? I heard that if they don't get enough iodine their exoskeleton wont develop enough.

If you have any fish, they will eat the juvenile shrimp.

I've bred ghosts, but they grow slowly.

Had to feed 3-4 times daily using finely powderized Hikari pellets. Took mama shrimp out within hours of her hatching out her fry.

Someone suggested a pinch of iodized table salt per gallon of water, and it worked well to keep mortality down. If I didn't do the salt trick, I'd have mass die offs.

Eventually got about 30 shrimp. A little salt helps, constant feeding works until they get to 1/4-inch, then you can taper off a little.
