Well, I am pushing things a little, but heres how things stand.
Tank before most of the plants. the 5th driftwood piece is behind the centerpiece. I love this chunk of wood, it has tons of charachter and the backside makes a couple of extra caves. Even though this is my first tank, i am going for an orinoco biotope inspired tank. the peats in, but its onyl been in a day so the blackwater hasn't really developed yet.

As things stand tonight. the hornwort is just floating around, i need to decide what to do with it, but for now, the tetra's love it. Since I am pushing things by adding fish now, i don't want to remove plants. I have some more on the way so still have plenty of arrainging to do even at this stage, let alone after it grows.

I got extra Cardinals thinking a few wouldn't even make it home, but so far aside from one that disappeared last night, they are doing great. go figure. Tonight, I was at a petco and saw this little guy. the pics are bad, but his color is great in person and hes a friendly little guy. I wanted an angel, but wasn't planning on one yet at this stage, but he ended up being a sympathy purchase. one of his fins looks damaged, but he swims fine so we'll see how he develops.
