not going to name it but just flicking around a site I found when I was researching, before getting a tank, where a moderator has advised that you only need to cycle (fish or fishless) if you are stocking 'sensitive fish'...in fairness he/she was pulled up somewhat on this but sheesh...I always thought there was some funny advice being offered on there but that's a good one.

...me being a lazy bugger I'm glad I found this site (edit : i.e. AC...not the other site lol). I'd love a hobby where day one I can just chuck the entertainment in the glass box, sit back and watch but that just ain't so.

lol well credit where credit is due. If there was a further point I guess it's that it might show why new people like me can arrive here innocently with a load of bs in their heads over what's right/wrong/good/bad/indifferent.

I think if it wasnt for AC and all the people here I would of got sick of hearing the inch per gallon rule, have no clue what a "cycle" was and probably sold the tank or given it away for free.

we always welcome new people with open arms, AND, open minds, and we all listen to what people have to say....The vast experience and knowledge that AC has to offer people is vast and hope everyone comes here to enjoy themselves, aswell as learn and pass on information....
