I had two Oscars and I think they have bonded. Well the other day I was feeding and I saw that there was only one oscar is the tank and I looked around for the other one and I found him on the ground dead. I guess he jumped out and now the other one is really heart broken. I was wondering If I can replaced another Oscar or would she try to kill it. I had them when they were small and they grow up together in the tank.

try to get another one of around the same size if you want to replace it.

Stay to near the same size if you can. Also be prepared for some pecking order establishment and the possibility of having to return it.

Cant believe no one asked what the tank size was? Lets start there, a lot of time fish jump out because they are being bullied or chased. A lot of times this is due to small living spaces and lack of hiding places and territory. minimum requirements for oscars are as follows. 75g for one 120g+ for a pair.

Before you get another Oscar, get a cover for your tank. Oscars do jump and you're likely to lose another one.
