I am putting together a DIY CO2 reactor a la Rex's, and was wondering if there was a benifit to putting something in there like filter material, bioballs etc to help break up CO2 bubbles?
In mine, filter floss greatly reduced the number of small bubbles escaping to the top of the tank. In fact, I dont see any bubbles gettting past it. 100% diffusion.
I think, not sure though, that it really doesnt matter what you use. So long as you can live with the look of whatever you choose.
