Is there a fish on the market that will eat this brown algae or diatoms. I already have a clean up crew which is 6 hermit crabs and 6 snails but they aren't eating the brown algae or diatoms. My tank is 29 gallons and I'm using Nutri Sea Water from the store. Any suggestions on how to rid of this Brown algae or Diatoms. (nightmare)

How long has the tank been running? If its a reletivly new system, then it is one of the algae blooms that all new marine systems go through..as long as your parameters stay correct and cleanup crew numbers stay, you just have to live through it...It will go, it just takes a little time to pass....

Its a starting base line yes....maybe push both numbers up to 10 each of snails and hermits....and see how they cope...
