The Magnum 350's come with a gravel cleaner for just that purpose; but you have to clean the filter afterwards to get the gunk out...
Seems just as easy to use a Python and do your gravel sucking as you do a water change...

the purpose of gravel vacuuming is to remove the detritus that collects in your substrate. i wouldn't want all that flotsam and jetsom to clog up my biofilter.
