Hi! I have an adorable dojo loach (just one so far, he was the only one left at the store), and he is about the size of a toothpick! maybe a little over an inch long! I'm concerned that the substrate in my tank, which is a rocky gravel, is too rough for him and will injur him so i'm planning on switching to sand. What kind of sand is recommended? Will i have problems with my filter (its an aquaclear power filter)? Anything else i should know about sand before making the switch? Any and all advice would be great!

On a side note, any idea how quickly this little guy will grow?

What size tank? What else is in the tank?

The set up is fine, parameters, size and such. At the moment there's one fancy goldfish, and the single dojo (i know they should be in small groups, he was the only one at the store), my main concern are the substrate questions
