I finally got all the proper parts to assembly my fully auto CO2 rig and put it together this evening. I just realized that I don't have a KH test kit so I'm obviously going to need to go get one of those tomorrow. My fancy CO2 controller has been calibrated and my PH is 7.65. Once I know what my KH is then how do I know what PH to aim for to achieve the desired CO2 level? The way my controller works is that when PH drops below a certain level it turns my CO2 system on. If/when my CO2 exceeds the top end of the range it will then turn my air pump/air stones on. What I don't understand is how to use a chart like the one here http://www.aquabotanic.com/charts.htm to set my desired PH range. Or is this not the chart I should be using?
