planted q

ok, im going to get a 4 ft tank. the q. for a planted tank would i be better off getting a 2 ft wide and 2.5 ft high, or 2.5 ft wide and 2 ft high?

For a planted tank you would want the shorter one. That way more light will reach the plants.

How long are your arms and will you have access to both front and back of the tank? I'm tall with long arms, but have trouble reaching even in 2' deep (front-to-back) tanks. This is a primary reason for rebuilding my tank room, to allow front and back access. I will not have any tank over 2' high for the same reason. I don't like wet armpits and do not work well with my face in the water.:rolleyes:

good point RTR,
i wont have access to the back of the tank, so i wont make it more than 4 ft in length so then i can still reach the back.
