Posting pics from a web page is so easy to put directly on the page itself. So why doesn't anyone do it? To help those that donot know, here is how......Simply place tag in front of the http web address you are placing to your post, then put at the end of the JPG file name. This way the pic shows on the page instead of needing to click on a link. Just thought I might be able to help someone out. Let me know if you need so help doing this.;)http://www.onemain.com/~dox/images/fish tank.JPG

You need to have the JPG file name in there to. In order to get this, you need to go to the site, right click on the picture you want to use, then take note or copy the jpg link to the post. If I had the full link addres, then I could help you out more
hey guys there is an even easier way to post pictures. just click on the IMG button when you want to post a pic. type the url in the dialog box and it does the rest for you!

Note that the http:// part of the image URL is required for the [img] code.

I'm glad that they're all starting to convert over to easier formats like this...that makes it a lot easier for those of us who haven't been doing html in a while.

Just can't figure it out. I'll try again thoughhttp://community.webshots.com/photo/63655872/71136652YagnFM/jpg
ok type in the address of the picture you want to post in to your browser window. hit go or enter and the pic should come up. if not then that is your problem. if so then it should add the necessary http:// for you to make it a complete address. so just copy that address into the box that pops up when you press the IMG button.

You need the actual name of the picture in there somewhere...

Skittyfish, look at the coding used here, and see if you can duplicate it:
Click on the IMG button, add the name of your picture to the pop-up. The name of the pic with the Aponogeton is http://community.webshots.com/sym/image4/3/66/52/71136652YagnFM_ph.jpg

Nope, you have to right click on the pic, and use the name of the pic from "Properties."

its the masters touch
ok the host you are using does not allow remote linking. the address of the pic is http://community.webshots.com/sym/image4/3/66/52/71136652YagnFM_ph.jpg
like i said the first time take the address of the pic and put it in your browser address bar and if the pic doesnt come up then that is your problem. if you type that address into the bar it takes your to a webpage of your host.

You cannot do it for all web sites. Many web sites, such as Geocities and Angelfire, do not allow hot link. For example, to see my Geocities picture, you have to copy and paste the address and remove the quotes: "http://www.geocities.com/bluespeacock/75n1.jpg"
Simply typing the following won't work
http://www.geocities.com/bluespeacock/75n2.jpg or
http://www.geocities.com/bluespeacock/75n2.jpg
