I had 3 Bamboo. One died and now have two.

One had shed its exoskeleton. Thn a couple of days later one died, think it might have been the same one.

Would my Ich treatment have killed it after shedding?

Another one shed its exo yesterday and now has lost colour and not moving much; I've just had to increase salt levels to combat the Ich.

I'm now worried as tonight one of my Amano shed his exo'.

Could the cause be the treatment?

Yup, it could. They can be sensitive to chemicals and metals in the water, and I suspect that includes salt. If possible, you should move them to another tank until the treatment is over and the salt is reduced through water changes.

I hope your other shrimp make it ok.

Thanks Rose,

Dont have a spare tank, but really learning the value of having a spare of everything in this hobby! Thinking of getting a couple of 5G set up for unexpected events...could use them as Shrimp Farms and spares?

Since starting my Ich treatment I've lost 1 Bamboo Shrimp and two Amano Shrimp.

I've now noticed a definite pattern.

They are all dting within two days of sheeding their exoskeleton.

I can only assum that when they shed they are vulnerable to the salt in the water which may have killed them?
