pond prices?

I have looked over a few sites, being curious about the same thing. Of course, it matters how large the pond will be, because the cost of the under liner and liner will increase with the size of the pond... or were you planning on a container pond? Decorations, fish, fountain, plants, etc. will be extra and will vary depending on the number. What kind of pond are you considering? Would you be digging it out or using a preformed insert?

If you're not really the kind of person to dig and build a pond, a 1000 gallon stock tank is a cheap ($350) and easy option.

Stock tanks are available at tractor supply and other farm stores.

That is exactly what I have been researching for the past month. I am planning a 400-450G pond. Pricing depends on a number of items:

- where do you live? Prices vary by state as well as by country
- who is doing the digging?
- how big a pond?
- do you have a problem with moles on your property (you will need a concrete liner to the hole before the PVC liner)
- cost of under liner
- cost of PVC liner
- cost of pump
- cost of filter
- cost of UV filter
- cost of fish
- cost of running electricity to your garden
- cost of landscaping (rock waterfall to hide your filter?)

I have budgetted $1000 for this project over the summer (to do it right).

If money is an object go witha large stock tank from a feed store. They are very durable, have a drain and many ahve lifetime warranttes

The most expensive part is hte liner everything else you can probably build yourself. I actually built a bio filter for under 100 bucks and it works just as good maybe even better than the original one that I had purchased.
