Hi,
I'm thinking about ordering a C02 system. See http://www.ottawaaquatics.com/item123.htm

I'm not sure how to get the cylindar filled. Stupid question but....where do people get those cylindars filled?

I got mine filled at a fire extinguisher refiller place. Brewers supply or welding supply places are also options. Look in your Yellow pages and make some calls.

Welding shops can usually fill them paid 5bucks to fill my 10lbs bottle.

Boos, that's a very expensive set up for having a regulator with only one gauge(they call it a "pressure reducer"). You could do better by looking locally for a used bottle because when you take it in for filling, many of the places swap bottles. In other words they take your bottle and give you one that they have on site that already is filled. Then send yours out to be filled and give that to someone else who comes in later. That is unless you're lucky enough to find a place that fills on site. But then you may have to wait to have it filled. Pros and cons!!
Check out this system with a Rapids double gauge regulator and bottle for much less money.

I bought this system and then put the other pieces together for a much more reasonable amount of money.
If however money is not an object it's definitely going to be easier to buy it all from one place. I still don't like the single gauge reg. though.
You should be able to monitor the tank contents AND the pressure coming out of the tank.

djlen, That one is a small tank. Only .77 pounds and the price is Canadian, eh.

I'm going to look into who can fill it for me.

Thanks.

Some of there vendors may not be appropriate in Canada, but if you take a look at my site, you can see the best vendors I know of for tanks, regulators and combos.

I find getting them filled at a fire supply place. Reason? cheap and they fill YOUR tank. Welding supplies places and such with exchange your tank.
