I have a 90 gallon aquarium and in it is a large adult red turquoise discus, I was advised that I should get him some buddys so I bought another red turquoise discus and a blue diamond, both are about half the size of the other discus, the big discus is absolutely cruel to the 2 smaller discus nipping their fins and chasing them around the aquarium:mad2: , what do I do to reduce agresion?:help:

get more discus??
actually I have a similar problem but the large cobalt blue harasses my pigeon blood.
this tankoriginally had my cobalt blues in it(4) I had picked up two red/white diamonds and a pigeonblood. I kept these 3 in Q for about 2 months so that a) they could be safely treated before adding to the main tank and B) give them some time to grow out as the cobalt blues grew very fast.
when they were added to the main tank..the smallest red/white diamond.quickly joined the cobalt blues with no issues..the other red/white and the pigeon blood hid for a week or so..comaing out to feed..slowly the second red/white has joined the main school the pigon blood is finally fighting back a bit with the dominat male and earning a place in the pack.
oh and oddly..the lone peruvina scalre that I placed in the tank as a rescue mission..has also jpoined the main school..(darned thing thinks it's a discus)

how long have the new guys been in the tank? It could be establishing a pecking order...and I agree w/ star_rider get more discus...you could easily house 9 in a 90gal tank...depending on other stocking options

get more discus. Rearrange your tank decoration after you get more discus to reset territories. Your big discus territory before the introductions was the whole tank. Until you rearrange your decorations, it still is.

it took my discus a few months to get it all sorted out...and now that i just added one more discus they are all screwed up again...i hope you dont consider getting rid of your discus...i know how it is to be on a limited budget...im a college kid...i feel the pain...try finding a breeder close that isnt too pricy...and talk to them and maybe they will give you a decent deal
