Hello I have had freshwater tanks for all my life and have know clue about anyhting dealing with saltwater tanks. I have an open ten gallon and was wondering what was possible to do with saltwater in that tank.
What is good for beginners that is small?

Also what do i need to do to set up and maintain a saltwater tank.

Sorry i have no clue, but you have to start somewhere!
 
well..the best advise i can give you to start off with is read very very much...you do need to read and research all about marine before getting your feet wet with it all...

There are lots of good stickies pinned at the start of the marine sub forum areas...read through them...read through previous threads over the last couple of months in the newbie section as there have been people in exactly the same boat as you are now...read what has been said to them, understand the principles of how and why marine systems work how they do..read peoples miss-haps and issues so you dont run into them yourself.....

That is the best way to start...Get yourself a good basic understanding..and when a question arises..ask it here on the forums and listen to the answers...Please remember, we are all here to help you in anyway we can, there is no such thing as a silly/dumb or stupid question and never think you are being a bother or pestering....thats what we are here for....
