Breeding Kribensis

I have a ten gallon takn with three kribs in there with rocks which form caves. What eles should i do? I heard you should put sand in the bottom of the tank with a mixture of gravel should i do this if I should what kind of sand should I put in it (ex. Sandbox Sand)? Can anyone give me other tips like ph and that.

Also what is DH?
