I got a my very first feather duster today. its awesome.

however, I put it in a place in the tank that has the highest water movement. he is constantly being swayed in one direction. he's not falling over and he's open alot. but he's def being pushed in that direction. soooooooooo

should he be in an area with less movement or is the high movement good? I just want him to be happy.

I moved him to a better area with less flow. He looks much happier. thanks guys

yeah, he sways a little, but he's not getting blown over. He's open even more now.

I forget what I'm supposed to feed him sometimes. It's photoplanton or plankton or something. see, I forgot. What brand should I look for? and how often should I feed?

I think I'm going to get Kent Marine PytoMax. That should do the trick!

I've had my feather duster over 3 weeks and I've never fed it! Am I supposed to? It seems perfectly happy.

From what I've read.... obviously they filter feed micro-organisms out of the water. This gives them some food for sure, maybe even enough to live off of, but supplementing them with a plankton food will be beneficial to their overall health. That's according to what I've read online and heard in forums here.

This previous post of mine may help a little. http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102528&page=2

i would...they can survive short term off of whats in the water...but only can flourish in mature tanks without feeding. a live phytoplankton and some other supplement like Combovital will make the flourish wonderfully.
