WTB: a clue.

i need a clue -- about photography. how is everyone getting such great clear pictures? do you all have $3000+ SLR cameras?
i have a samsung digimax S500 for christmas from my mom. 5mp and it has Macro and AutoMacro mode which have made the pictures much clearer, but still not so fabulous. Guess I need to figure out manual mode. I'd so love an SLR though.

Go SLR. The CCD size and sensitivity is much better than point and shoot in almost every case. There are some crappy DSLRs though.

it just takes time and a lot of pics. i take a lot of pics before i find the one to use. having a good cam will increase your odds of a good pic. i am using a SLR now with a micro lens.
