How do I get more light in?

The hood of my tank only has room for one bulb. How do I get more light of rmy plants?

goto AH-Supply.com and order a kick-butt PC retrofit reflector, ballast combo. Then order/buy a good 6700K PC bulb and install it all in the hood (remove the junk from the plastic shell first). Then figure out a way to prop the light a few inches above the top of the tank.

Or buy a new light fixture. ;) In most cases, thats what people do to get more light over a tank. :rolleyes:

buy a few fixture with higher watt. they have up to 96w bulbs at ahsupply.com

also replace the plastic hood with a glass one. petco, petsmart or most local pet stores have them.
Cheap good lighting fixtures.
