I just got some blue mystery snails from online. I put them into the tank (10gal. which has a few fry in there also), and I'm not sure if they are alive! Some of them are not looking as blue anymore, more whitish and they are not moving....

Also do shells shed when their shells grow? Most of the snails I have seem to have dead skin like stuff hanging off of their shells, or it could be algae I guess? I know one is definitely alive because it is on the side of the tank wall. A few are floating, the others are just laying there.
