What size thread is this?

Me and my off the wall questions I know :)

I have a picture here though, I need to know what size of thread this is so I can locate an appropriate fitting to screw over top of it.

This is the piece that connects to the spraybar/intake for the 5/8" eheim installation set I & II. (Hose Coupling: 7444098)

Instead of connecting tubing to this, I want to find a PVC fitting of some sort that will allow me to connect rigid tubing instead, or clear PVC... in order to do that though I need to know this thread size lol.

Looks like the inside will be female, 7/8 inches.

[edit] sorry, you asked for thread size... not fitting size. In addition, the pitch of the thread will be a determining factor.

[2nd edit] I just looked up the part number you gave (7444098)... it says 16/22 mm.
http://www.eheim.de/eheim/pdf/en/ersatzteile/zubehoer/4004300-4005310_GB.pdf, but i'm not sure the end you are looking at is that measurement. 16/22mm converts to 0.027387826086956522. inches. :( That part doesn't look like the one in your pic. hmmm.

fishyfry, yeah, thats the size of tubing needed to connect to the barbed end, but thats not the thread size of that part... I took a guess at 28mm after measuring, but you say 7/8", which may be just as accurate, but I havent seen any 7/8" pipe fittings.

I do need to take it somewhere that I can sit and play with fittings, and see if anything fits on that thread.
 
I looked at that chart, and it doesn't really help me much.

about all I know is that this has about 16 threads per inch, and is 28mm (or 7/8")
 
so its likely that it would be a 28mm BSP thread?
