angel help needed

hello all, i have a medium size angel that developed 2-3 white spots on both its pectoral fins. the fins are transparent and the spots are not fuzzy balls but seem to be in th fin. can anyone tell me what this is and how to treat?

hard to tell with no pics.
I guess the std water parameters (ammonia, nitrite,nitrate) along with the WC schedule.

generally white spots can be either Normal or ich or fungus ...

It sound to me that it could be either a fungus or a parasite so you could go to your local pet store and get a medication that kills these sorts of things, but i would ask a customer rep. to help you find something that would be commonly used to kill these things, And if that doesn't work it could also be like birthmarks or some kind of birth defect unless they just started. thanks, have you ever use a med called quick cure? says its for ick and fungus, cures in two days. makes the water blueish but goes away.

Mine developed 3 opaque white spots that also looked to be 'inside' the fin. He has had this for 3 months with no complicatiosn and/or change.

I would simply observe him for 2-3 days and see if the change or if you see more develop; FWIW

thanks, i think this is the same, its very hard to see clearly. the fins are always moving. i hope it turns out to be nothing. will try to post a pic.

Exactly. Medicate when you know what you're treating, if that is the right thing to do for the problem. Hopefully it turns out to be nothing but don't fall into the "I must do something, this is something, therefore I must do this" to medicating.

exactly..keep an eye on the fish for a few days.
it is not uncommon to see some clear/white spots in fins.
take a close look and see if it is on the fin or in the fin.
could just be a spot

thanks for all your feedback everybody. so far it looks like only spots. the angel is not distressed and is eating and acting normal.

keep the water clean and they should be fine.
