Angry Firemouth - Fairly Large Pics

[UCF-Planted]

Below are pictures of my firemouth Jack (his g/f, who lives in another tank right now, is Diane) and the object of his ire, Nessie the BN Pleco. The crypt is in the way so it's hard to see, but he likes to flare that bright red gill cover out and charge at Nessie whenever Nessie is not hiding under a rock.

BTW, anybody have any thoughts on the fast growing algea on the crypt plant in the above picture?
